The National Museum of Cinema, known all over the world for the variety of activities and exhibits, extends upward as a spiral inside the Mole Antonelliana, developing the historical progress of world of cinema on different levels. The first floor consists of the Archeology of Cinema, followed by the Temple Hall and the Film Machine. Before becoming a monument for national unity, the bulding of Mole was designed as a synagogue by architect Alessandro Antonielli in 1863, and was completed in 1889. In 1961 the panoramic elevator was opened: it is still in function and allow to reach the temple placed at 85m (elevetor not included in the ticket!).
